- The Institute for the Documentation of Human Rights Violations against Religious Minorities in the Levant (IDHRV-ARMIL) is a registered independent non-profit organization in the State of Kansas (EIN 39-3688685). It operates exclusively on a voluntary basis, underscoring its commitment to impartial documentation and survivor-centered advocacy before national and international bodies.
- Our specific purposes are to engage in research, documentation, and service, namely, to collect, analyze, and document material evidence, as well as to prepare verifiable witness accounts on atrocities and crimes against humanity committed against members of religious, ethnic, and other minorities in the Levant.
- Our Endeavors:
- To establish an audiovisual database to document atrocities, cooperating with computer scientists and research institutions to refine methods of documenting and archiving data material, and to acquire research funds.
- To prepare witness statements that can be used in court by providing affidavits for prosecution in international courts with universal jurisdiction.
- To prepare and publish reports based on empirically verifiable data that comply with the strictest principles of confidentiality and witness protection.
- To provide independent and impartial information for the documentation of crimes against humanity and forms of ethnic cleansing.
- To become an organization capable of serving such communities and minorities in the Levant, including those otherwise not being helped.
- To serve as a focal point for international efforts on documenting and addressing human rights violations in the Levant.
